You know the saying: from the ashes, a phoenix rises. We believe the same goes for those vulnerable animals that wouldn’t normally get the second chance they deserve.
As the largest No Kill shelter in Colorado, we’re proud to offer those animals in need the shelter, rehabilitation, and care they require while they await their True Companions; even those with the most critical needs.
Meet Fenix, a 3-year-old Anatolian Sheperd who came to us after being found in a field, sick and riddled with Mange. This typically fluffy and very sweet boy was brought in nearly hairless, with secondary skin infections and two tick borne diseases. Thankfully, our dedicated veterinary team can provide him with the treatment he needs to return to his happy, healthy self.
Though his road to recovery is not yet finished, Fenix is doing much better. Our veterinary professionals provide Fenix with daily antibiotics, antifungals, allergy medication, and weekly medicated baths.
We’re so grateful to be able to provide animals like Fenix with the shelter and care they need due to the generosity of our community.
If you’re interested in supporting Fenix's ongoing treatment, consider donating to this month’s medical Fund-A-Need. All proceeds go towards offsetting the cost of Fenix’s treatment to our nonprofit organization.
